This common work will be used in two ways:
The entire quartet will be used as a point of reference during group workshops and electives. For example, a technique class might include a selected passage from the common work to illustrate a particular technical problem.
The second and third movements will form the basis for the "Mix and Match Quartet" elective. It will be a significant advantage to be thoroughly familiar with these two movements.
